The path Before us

Our Elders share that the beginning stage of Peace on Earth will be signalized by an enforceable agreement of all Nation-States, on Mother Earth, to end war forever. We look forward to the beginning of Peace on Earth by 2O30.

The Path before us is the Fourth Way. This Path transcends assimilation, resignation, and adversarial relationships and focuses on healing broken trusts,  relationships, hearts and minds.

The Fourth Way is grounded in the understanding of the Oneness of our Human Family and All Life,  and that the Hurt of One is the Hurt of All, and the Healing and Restoration of One, is the Healing and Restoration of All.

Summary
PHILOSOPHICAL FRAMEWORK

Four Worlds has been able to derive principles of development that constitute Four Worlds’ working philosophy.

  1. considers culture to be the primary key to unlocking the forces that move people on the path of their own development;

  2. considers the spiritual and moral dimensions of human development to be inescapable;

  3. considers the articulation of a vision of the future, of possibilities other than the current reality, as a key element in human transformation;

  4. views development holistically, and therefore, takes a multi-dimensional, inter-sectoral and inter-disciplinary approach.

  5. places learning at the center of the development process;

  6. is community-based in orientation;

  7. promotes active participation in all levels of development (from needs assessment, through planning, implementation, evaluation, and beyond) by developing people themselves;

  8. bases development activities on culturally appropriate, community-based, participatory research;

  9. balances bottom-up and top-down approaches;

  10. provides proactive, catalytic support to developing communities and programs based on a clearly defined relationship that underscores the people’s ownership of the program.
